1. Cancelling a booking
To cancel, call +1-000-000-1234 or email support@flightsfaresolutions.com with your booking reference. Cancel as early as you can — refund value on most fares falls sharply closer to departure, and a no-show usually forfeits the ticket entirely.
2. Fare types and what they allow
- Refundable fares — refunded to the original payment method, less any airline cancellation charge stated in the fare rules.
- Partially refundable fares — taxes and some carrier charges are returned; the base fare may be retained by the airline.
- Non-refundable fares — usually no cash refund. Many carriers instead issue a future travel credit, valid for a limited period and often subject to a fee plus fare difference on rebooking.
- Basic / restricted economy fares — frequently permit no changes or refunds of any kind.
3. The 24-hour window
For tickets purchased at least seven days before departure on itineraries to, from or within the United States, US Department of Transportation rules generally allow cancellation within 24 hours of ticketing for a full refund. If your booking qualifies, tell us within that window and we will process it at no cost.
4. Changing a booking
Most tickets can be changed subject to the fare rules. A change typically involves an airline change fee plus the difference between your original fare and the new one. We confirm both amounts to you before making any change. Name changes are not permitted by most airlines; minor spelling corrections often are.
5. Refund timelines
- We submit the refund request to the airline within 1 business day of your instruction.
- Airline authorisation typically takes 7–14 business days, and longer during peak disruption periods.
- Once authorised, funds usually appear on your original payment method within 7–20 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, account or person.
6. If the airline cancels or reschedules
Where the airline cancels a flight or makes a significant schedule change, you are normally entitled to a rebooking on the next suitable service or a refund, under that carrier's policy and any applicable passenger rights regulation. Contact us as soon as you are notified and we will pursue the better outcome for you with the airline.
7. Involuntary events
Requests arising from illness, bereavement, visa refusal or similar circumstances are handled case by case. Airlines may waive or reduce penalties on production of supporting documentation. We will always make the request on your behalf, though the decision rests with the carrier.
8. Our service charges
We do not charge a booking fee, and we do not charge to process a cancellation, change or refund request. Any amount deducted from a refund is an airline-imposed charge, and it is itemised for you before we proceed.
9. Ancillary services
Seat selection, extra baggage, meals, insurance and similar add-ons follow their own rules and are often non-refundable once purchased, even when the ticket itself is refundable.
10. Disputes
If you are unhappy with how a refund or cancellation has been handled, email support@flightsfaresolutions.com with your booking reference. We acknowledge complaints within one business day and will keep you updated until the matter is resolved.
